Dear Abbie Grove Families,
Please remember to follow our school’s vehicle drop-off procedures (noted on Abbie Grove’s school website) to ensure the safety of all students. When dropping off in the designated lane, stay in your vehicle and pull forward as directed by staff members. Be mindful of other vehicles and avoid any use of cell phones to stay focused on the flow of traffic. Always let children exit from the curbside of the vehicle to keep them safely away from passing cars.
Please drive slowly (5 mph) within the parking lot and be very mindful of students exiting the vehicle and using the crosswalk. If you need extra time to assist your child, simply be proactive and plan to arrive a few minutes earlier than normal (especially during inclement weather) or park in a designated spot and walk your student to the entrance.
With weather changes in the coming months, drop-off and pick-up time frames at all buildings will naturally increase so your patience and planning will be helpful for all families using the arrival/dismissal lanes. Thank you for helping us create a safe and efficient drop-off experience for all students and adults.
Please note that tomorrow is a professional development day for teachers and staff. There will be NO STUDENT CLASSES on Friday, November 8th.
